Tax exemption is handled via email. To receive tax exemption on Shipt orders submit your documentation to taxexempt@shipt.com for review.
To start a tax exemption request in the Shipt app:
Under your business profile go to Account then select Business details. Next select, Open email draft.
Have your tax-exempt certificate ready as a PDF or image, and confirm the organization name on it matches your business profile.
Your chosen email app will open with a draft addressed to taxexempt@shipt.com with the subject Tax Exemption Request and a pre-written message. Replace the bracketed placeholders in the message with your details.
Attach your documentation and send.
Shipt may follow up by email if more information is needed. If eligible, you'll receive an email confirmation of tax exemption within 5-7 business days.
